Our Hifi set

Over the last few years my set has changed a lot until I caught a deadly virus for audiophiles: I'm satisfied with my current set. Well, does this mean there is nothing to improve and I won't change anything? Not a all, but changes will take place much more gradually and I plan (planned) to improve on "details" only.

Well, and that is what you get when you're satisfied: No Change and no Innovation :-) Although I'm still enjoying music, building gear from time to time and reading some forums. I was a follower of technology: although all music is in MP3 form on the server for a while now and we use Airport Express to stream music to our HiFi I was not so much involved in following the ;latest trends in HiFi.

Projects/Gear working on:

• Somewhere beginning of 2011 we bought a set of Sonos ZP90 players. We like these little white boxes a lot! However, the sound quality of the boxes can be enhanced further by not using the internal DAC of Sonos but using a separate high-quality DAC for reproduction of streamed music/video.
  Therefore, I'm currently looking at a new DAC that matches the quality of the rest of the set. In other words, I do not need the most expensive name and gear etc. as speakers and source material determine in a much greater way the final soundscape.

Let me tell you where the equipment is:

• Living Room until 2010; Marants PM14ki, Clearaudio Champion, Marantz DV-12S2, Sonus Faber Cremona
• Study;
• Headphones; Headphone Amps and Sennheiser Heaphones

These pages contain photos, descriptions of and links to hifi equipment I own or like most. Also some links to review sites and homepages of people expressing their opinion on certain hifi stuff. This page is different from my Dutch Hifi page. Too bad, I will synchronize both when I have more time available.
